Patrick Tran
Principal / Co-Founder
Patrick is a principal of Reborn Studio, which he co-founded in 2004 upon earning a degree in computer science from UCLA. Patrick has worked at several Fortune 500 companies, delivering intranet-based management systems that streamlined operational workflow, reduced costs, and reduced opportunities for human error.
He has also been instrumental in defining and developing unique web-driven businesses such as WebRidesTV.com, a full-featured video portal for auto enthusiasts, and MyDamnChannel.com, an entertainment studio and new media platform, where his efforts to push the envelope included devising a content delivery network and integrating emerging technologies such as Ajax and Flash-based video.
Patrick's acute attention to detail and standard of perfection fuel his determination to bring a ‘rebirth’ to web development by crafting compelling, innovative solutions that revolutionize how online businesses work.
Michael Marina
Principal / Co-Founder
Michael holds a degree in cognitive science with a specialization in computer programming from UCLA, which provides him with a formal background in programming methodologies, psychology, and creative problem solving. This training was well matched to his software development responsibilities at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
While working at the prestigious laboratory, Michael was afforded the rare opportunity to work alongside some of the world's greatest minds, and was exposed to their creative thinking process as well as the bureaucratic and logistical challenges that plague many large corporations. Michael went on to a position as lead developer and analyst at the Semel Institute, which he held for three years before co-founding Reborn Studio with the intention of pushing the boundaries of how businesses use the web to their advantage.
Michael McGranahan
Lead Developer
Michael's unique background enables him to solve a spectrum of business challenges with user-centric, maintainable, secure, and performant software deliverables.
While earning his degree in political science at UCLA, Michael studied computer science at the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
This liberal-technical training instilled not only a mastery of computing theory, but also a foundation in social analysis, organizational management, and creative problem solving.
Included in Michael's decade of prior software development experience is business analysis and programming at UCLA's College of Letters and Science, where he contributed to web applications serving user bases of 55,000 and devised an SOA adoption strategy addressing message design, service versioning, and resource governance.
Jordan Tabije
Lead Designer
Jordan is the Lead Designer at Reborn Studio, and has over 6 years of professional graphic design experience. Certified with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from Westwood College, and significant experience at upstart businesses, Jordan possesses the versatility and resourcefulness to package a range of business types creatively and effectively.
Jordan's skillful consideration of traditional design disciplines, including logo design, theoretic selection of color palettes, and navigation design and layout, as well as of existing branding guidelines and his own artistic instinct, enable him to define enthralling customer experiences that energize customer loyalty and satisfaction.
